While working with GS1 UK, I designed an infographic celebrating the 40th anniversary of the barcode, highlighting key milestones in its history and development.
The challenge was to present a large amount of information in a way that was visually interesting and easy to follow. I developed a timeline-style layout, using illustrations, icons and typography to guide the reader through the story, with the barcode itself forming a central part of the design.
The finished infographic combined clear information design with GS1 UK's established visual identity.
